Trading as Halletts is a member of the UKALA Association of Letting Agents (UKALA), which is a client money protection scheme, and we are also a member of The Property Ombudsman (TPO), which is a redress scheme approved by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). We therefore subscribe to the TPO Code of Practice for Letting Agents. The Property Ombudsman provides a free, fair and independent service for dealing with unresolved disputes between Halletts and our Clients and Tenants. Halletts also have Professional Indemnity Insurance with W/R/B Underwriting. Please note that lettings agents are required by law to publish on their websites information for potential tenants about relevant fees, redress schemes and client money protection schemes (including the names of those schemes). Relevant fees must also be published on third party websites, such as Rightmove, Zoopla, OnTheMarket etc. For properties to rent in England, details of the agent’s membership of any redress scheme and client money protection scheme must also be published with their fees on all online advertising. It is the agent’s responsibility to ensure that all relevant information provided is up to date and accurate. If the relevant information does not appear here, the agent may have included it within the property description.
